Tester
The person taking the BAC tests with the BACtrack. Their schedule and account is managed by a Monitor(s). A Tester can:

  • Take Tests
  • View Schedules
  • View Results
  • Download Reports
  • Pay for Billing

Self Tester
The person taking the BAC tests with the BACtrack, but they do not have a Monitor. They are monitoring their own results. A Self-Tester can:

  • Take Tests
  • View & Manage Schedules
  • View Results
  • Download Reports
  • Pay for Billing

Monitor
The person monitoring the Tester. A Tester can have multiple Monitors and a Monitor can manage multiple Testers. A Monitor can:

  • Request Tests
  • Manage Schedules

  • Download Reports
  • Pay for Billing

Your device will be delivered within 2-3 business days. If you sign up by 2pm Pacific Standard Time, your device will ship on the same day.

How do I set a testing schedule?

You must be a monitor or self tester to set a schedule. Tap the middle icon at the bottom of your screen, then tap “+” at the bottom right of the calendar. You may select the date and time for a random or timed testing schedule, then tap “Schedule Test.” For more information, view the Quick Start Guides.

How does randomized testing work?

You can schedule a start time and end time for test requests to come in at random. You can also select the total number of random tests received within your scheduled time frame.

How long do I have to complete a test once a notification is received?

You will have 30 minutes to take a test after a text notification is received.

What happens if I miss a test?

Failure to take a test within the 30-minute window will result in a “Missed” test record. The date and time of the missed test will be logged under “Activity.” If needed, you may create another schedule for a different testing time or start a manual test.

How do I invite a new contact?

Tap the contacts icon at the bottom left of your screen, then tap “+” on the upper right corner. Enter your contact’s email address and assign them as a Monitor or Accountability Partner, then tap “Send Invite.” For more information, view the Quick Start Guides.

What is a monitor?

A monitor is someone who can request tests, create random or timed testing schedules, and view results.

How do I start a test?

Tap the middle icon at the bottom of your screen, then turn on your BACtrack. Once the device is ready, you will receive a prompt to blow for 5 seconds. For more information, view the Quick Start Guides.

What is the difference between a tester and a self tester?

A tester can only take tests, view schedules, and view results. A self tester has the ability to create random or timed testing schedules (like a monitor), take tests, and view results.

What is an accountability partner?

An accountability partner is someone who only has “view access” to your account to help ensure that you are keeping on track with your goals and supervise your progress.

How does my monitor or accountability partner know that I’ve completed a test?

All of your contacts will receive a text notification once a new test result is available to view.

How do I download a PDF report of my test results?

Tap the “Activity” icon on the upper right corner. Then tap the “Download” icon on the upper right corner to receive an email with your PDF report attached.

What do I do if my device breaks or malfunctions?

Please send an email to view@BACtrack.com or call 415-693-9194 to report any hardware issues. We’ll be happy to send a replacement device to you right away.

Can I change my plan later on?

Yes, you can switch between plans at any time. Please send an email to view@BACtrack.com or call 415-693-9194 to request a change.

Is there a contract?

There are no contracts or activation fees. You can start and stop using BACtrack View at your convenience.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Please email view@bactrack.com or call 415-693-9194 to begin the cancellation process.

Schedule a Test

Scheduling a test in the BACtrack View App is easy. You can you can set the test date and time, and if you’d like the test to repeat or not. You can also select if you want the test to occur at a specific time or at random time during a testing window. If you choose the random time option, you can also select the number of randomized tests you’d like to occur, during that time frame.

Add a Connection

For every BACtrack View Tester account, you can add two types of Connections: a Monitor and an Accountability Partner. The number of Connections a Tester can have depends on the plan level that you choose. Remember, anyone using the BACtrack View App must have an Apple iOS device.

Download a PDF Report

Depending on your BACtrack View plan level, you have the ability to download a PDF report of your test results. This option is not available for Basic plan users. Plus plan users can download one PDF report per month. Pro plan users have unlimited PDF report downloads each month.
