Anyone taking breath alcohol tests will need a BACtrack Mobile smartphone breathalyzer (included with all plans) and a compatible smartphone or tablet running iOS 13.0 and above or Android 11 and above. See a list of all compatible devices.

Can I use my own breathalyzer?

No, you must use the breathalyzer that is provided to you by BACtrack at the time of sign up, which is included free of charge while you are on the service. BACtrack View is only compatible with a specialized version of BACtrack Mobile Smartphone Breathalyzer. No other BACtrack products will work with this service.

Which Apple iOS devices are compatible with BACtrack View?

BACtrack View is compatible with Apple devices (iPhone, iPads & iPods) running iOS 13.0 and above. For a full list of compatible devices.

Which Android devices are compatible with BACtrack View?

BACtrack View is compatible with Android devices running Android 11 and above.

Is there a fee to use BACtrack View?

BACtrack View has three pricing plans: Basic ($79.99), Plus ($99.99) and Pro ($129.99). View details about each plan. There are no activation fees or contracts.

Do both the Tester and Monitor need to pay for the service?

No, only one person is required to pay for the service. Typically, the Tester (the person taking the tests pays) pays, but the Monitor can also be in charge of billing.

This device has help me out with a on going legal battle involving custody of my child. I knew that my sobriety would be called in to question so I took a proactive approach of documenting my sobriety with this device. I also documented my A.A. visits as well but the legitimacy of my documentation was called into question. They couldn’t however argue with the BACtrack video documentation of me blowing almost every 4 hours for three months. At first glance it might seem expensive for the membership but has proven to be one of the most valuable things I have done for my circumstances. I would recommend it to anyone go through any kind of custody issue or any other legal issue involving alcohol.

Great option if you are required to do continuous random monitoring. Would love it if the app gave alerts to Apple Watch or had an app for it on the watch that did more frequent alerts that are hard to miss. I missed a test while taking a nap and missed the text messages. Also, it would help if the tests got saved on the phone when you don’t have good internet connection. I work in rural areas out in the country sometimes and if there is not a connection, it doesn’t register that I did a test. I heard other options do that.

Yeah, it’s a drag to be required to use it. Haha. But it works REALLY well, using my iPhone. The battery has lasted two months without a charge, being used every other weekend when I have the kids. I just recharged it because I didn’t want it to die when I was away from a charger. The app links up really quickly, takes an easy sample, and tucks back into your pocket. I had a dumb day and the judge said 6 months of this, so it is what it is. This makes it pretty painless.

BACtrack has been a Game and possibly a Life Changer. Our son just turned 40 years old and has been struggling with addiction since University. The party lifestyle with lots of freinds. He is well educated and had a great carrer. Addiction has now ruined his carrer and 2 marraiges. He has been to many Rehabs and Addiction programs on countless occaisions. He knows the programs inside and out. He has desperatly wanted to quit drinking and drugs for the last 10 years. BACtrack has been a great tool to keep him ACCOUNTABLE !!. BACtrack does not lie to you like addicts. He does a test when he wakes up in the morning , when he comes home from work in the afternnon and before he goes to bed at night. I got probation and part of it was to go on scram. After learning how expensive scam was, I went back to court and got my lawyer to let me use an alternative device besides scram brand. This is hundreds cheaper a month. Works excellent with my phone. It charges pretty quick too. I have to blow 4 times a day and it’s never died on its own. I usually plug it in every 2 weeks or so.
